Dolpo Region

JOMSOM - DOLPO - JUPHAL TREK (19 DAYS)

Description : This trek leads through the mountain deserts and ravines of the internal Himalaya. There are high altitude but technically easy passes.

Deepest point : Dunai, 2150 m
Highest point : Numa La, 5149 m

Main difficulties :
- High altitude.

Equipment : Food will not be available the whole way.

Best time : May until November, in the summer months there is rainfall.

Object of interest : Flora and Fauna.
National park (Shey Phoksumdo).

Starting point : By flight from Pokhara to Jomosom.

 

Itinerary In Detail

Day 01 : Kathmandu to Pokhara by bus or flight 0.0 km (820 m)

Day 02 : Pokhara to Jomosom by flight, and trekking to Paleg 4.6 km (3050 m)

Day 03 : Paleg to Yak Kharka 5.0 km (3180 m)

Day 04 : Yak Kharka to Sangdak Phedi (Cave Pass) 6.5 km (4140 m)

Day 05 : Sangdak Phedi acclimatization day 0.0 km (4140 m)

Day 06 : Sangdak Phedi to Yak Kharka 15.1 km (3680 m)

Day 07 : Yak Kharka to Melung Khola 14.6 km (4816 m)

Day 08 : Melung Khola to Chharka village 16.1 km (4110 m)

Day 09 : Chharka village to Tal 12.5 km (4800 m)

Day 10 : Tal to Lantan Phedi 7.2 km (4900 m)

Day 11 : Lantan Phedi to Dho Tarap 7.4 km (4130 m)

Day 12 : Dho Tarap to Numla Phedi 11.5 km (4700 m)

Day 13 : Numla Phedi to Baga La Phedi 13.1 km (5000 m)

Day 14 : Baga La Phedi to Ringmo Phoksumdo 9.0 km (3540 m)

Day 15 : Ringmo Phoksumdo rest day 0.0 km (3540 m)

Day 16 : Ringmo Shey Phoksumdo to Sepka 15.7 km (3000 m)

Day 17 : Sepka to Dunai 11.5 km (2150 m)

Day 18 : Dunai to Juphal 6.2 km (2440 m)

Day 19 : Juphal to Nepalganj by flight; Nepalganj to Kathmandu by flight or bus

Price includes:

All airport transfers; trekking permit and national park fee; transportation from Kathmandu to Pokhara by local or tourist bus or flight while on trekking accommodation and all food like breakfast, lunch and dinner; tea or coffee with the meals; an English speaking guide and porters; equipment for guide and porters; insurance for staff and porters.

Price excludes:

All expenses of personal nature, bottled and alcoholic beverage; Nepal entry visa fee; airport departure tax; air ticket reconfirmation fee; personal insurance; emergency air rescue; if a trip is delayed because of bad weather and if flights are cancelled or delayed or any other circumstances beyond our control, should occur the company will not make provisions and the extra cost has to be covered by the individual or group; medical supplies; accommodation and food in Kathmandu.
