Annapurna Dhaulagiri Region

JOMSOM MUKTINATH TREK (12 DAYS)

Description : Trekking for 12 days up to Muktinath. Starts from Pokhara, ends in Jomosom.

Deepest point : Pokhara, 820 m
Highest point : Muktinath, 3760 m

Main difficulties :
- No difficulties

Equipment : Lodges and tea houses on the whole way. Light mountain shoes or simple mountain shoes and down-jacket or fiber-filled jacket, warm dress and sun glasses.

Best time : October - May

Object of interest : Dasain and Tihar festivals in the Hindu areas of the lower Marsyangdi valley and around Pokhara (October).
Gompas in Muktinath, Marpha.
Hindu temple in Muktinath.
Rhododendron flower at Ghorepani Deorali (April - June).
Unbelievable ethnical and climate varieties.

Starting point : By bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara.

 

Itinerary In Detail

Day 01 : Kathmandu to Pokhara by bus or flight (820 m)

Day 02 : Pokhara to Nayapul by bus and trek to Tirkhedhunga 9.6 km (1540 m)

Day 03 : Tirkhedhunga to Ghorepani with climbing the Poon Hill (3000 m) 11.8 km (2750 m)

Day 04 : Ghorepani to Tatopani 13.3 km (1190 m)

Day 05 : Tatopani to Ghasa 11.7 km (2010 m)

Day 06 : Ghasa to Tukuche 16.0 km (2590 m)

Day 07 : Tukuche to Marpha 6.0 km (2670 m)

Day 08 : Marpha to Kagbeni 13.5 km (2800 m)

Day 09 : Kagbeni to Muktinath 8.7 km (3760 m)

Day 10 : Muktinath one day rest 0.0 km (3760 m)

Day 11 : Muktinath to Jomsom 16.7 km (2720 m)

Day 12 : Jomsom to Pokhara by flight; Pokhara to Kathmandu by flight or bus

Price includes::

All airport transfers; trekking permit and national park fee; transportation from Kathmandu to Pokhara by local or tourist bus or flight while on trekking accommodation and all food like breakfast, lunch and dinner; tea or coffee with the meals; an English speaking guide and porters; equipment for guide and porters; insurance for staff and porters.

Price excludes:

All expenses of personal nature, bottled and alcoholic beverage; Nepal entry visa fee; airport departure tax; air ticket reconfirmation fee; personal insurance; emergency air rescue; if a trip is delayed because of bad weather and if flights are cancelled or delayed or any other circumstances beyond our control, should occur the company will not make provisions and the extra cost has to be covered by the individual or group; medical supplies; accommodation and food in Kathmandu.
