Jungle Excursions


Guest staying longer than two nights will be taken by land over deep into the park to visit the Gharial hatchery, one of only two sanctuaries left in the world for this rare crocodile. The evening return will provided an excellent chance to view the more elusive game as they start on their night time rounds. Safari package 2 nights / 3 days on full board basis (min. two people).

 


Itinerary

Day 01 Upon arrival lunch will be served: After a while you will be taken for a nature walk through jungles where it may be possible to see the one horned rhinoceros, sloth bear, wild boar, four different types of deer and many colorful birds. Dinner at 7:30 p.m. by candle lights.

Day 02 At 6 a.m. early morning bird walk is scheduled. This is a short walk along the river through the forest. Throughout the National Park there are 350 different species of birds.

Breakfast will be served on you return to the camp. Then visit the National Park Meseum where you can gain some trips on the animals and birds which you may see in the park. You shall then travel by dugout canoe on the Rapti river to explore aquatic games, birds and crocodiles. At the end of the journey a bullock cart will be waiting to transfer you back to the Camp for lunch.

In the afternoon, there will be an Elephant back safari to explore the world’s rare game lie., the great one horned rhinoceros, four types of deer, monkey, wild boar, leopard, and if lucky the elusive tiger.

Dinner: Nepalese buffet dinner will be served in the open garden at 7:30 p.m. There will be native folk dances to entertain you evening after dinner.

Day 03 After breakfast you will either visit the ethnic village of the Tharu to have a close look into their social and cultural life or go for another nature walk for further wildlife sightseeing. Return to the camp to prepare for the journey back to Kathmandu.
